The Fight Against the Medicare Cut - Small Victory #2

While the war continues, battle #2 has been won. The House passed the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Act of 2007 by a vote count of 411 to 3. This is the same piece of legislation passed unanimously by the Senate yesterday.

The AMA and TMA have both issued press releases expressing concern for what will happen after the six month delay and urging Congress to create a more permanent fix to the issue.

If the two pieces of legislation are different, then a joint committee/task force will be formed to hammer out a final product. If there is no difference, the bill will go to President Bush.

Stay tuned for updates and as always, feel free to post your comments.
